Thanks for taking this journey with me.  Along with my photography skills not being as sharp as I would like, my graphic design skills need some brushing up on.  I guess it doesn't help that I had no idea how to use my free software from the computer.  My ETSY shop needed a little makeup.

Attempt number one was not bad.  The photo seemed cool when I cropped it but overall it just didn't jump at you as anything great.

#1  Meh...
Attempt number two seemed to want to be made a little more.  It had some warm color, I found a cool design thingie and my font seemed to flow a little better.

#2 POP!
Oh, yeah!  Now we are in business!  Now I can cross one more thing off my list and watch all my sales come flying in, right?!

On March 5th I will be attending a Craft Fair in Billerica, MA.  This should be a great day for Wyvern Studio.  Save the date and I will post more information later on how to find me.

Photography 101

I am horrible at taking photos.  I admit it.  Not as bad as some, but I never really was taught how to take great pictures.  One of my new years goals is to learn how to use my camera  and post some kick ass Etsy postings.  Don't be afraid to critique my photos from now on...

Damn the Man

You gotta love corporate America right?!? Yup, today during a horrible snow storm, I still had to arrive at work to make sure everyone would be able to do their banking. I made sure to pack along my lunch, something to read and my YARN. Almost a full shift of "work" and I managed to get a good start on a couple of hats. Ethically I should have been doing something work related, but today I said "Damn the Man" and crocheted without the worry that anyone would say "hey, go do some work."

So today I present the Damn the Man Winter Hat.  Available today for the great price of $16.00 each at WyvernStudio.etsy.com.  For all of those that were forced out of their nice warm beds to go out to put your lives on the line on the un-plowed roads of New England.

Cable Stich can be done with CROCHET!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

As I had hoped I finished all my Christmas hats in record timing!  I only started in December and by the 17th I was done and wrapped 15 hats for my family(ies).  I must say that I was relieved to have all of my handmade creations done so that I could enjoy the season, when a little voice in the back of my head started up with "but will they like them?"  I did not think of that while making them.  I had a trial run with two people and there were nothing but high-pitched noises of happiness.

See, look how much Amy is enjoying her new head wear.  She even sent me this picture to assure me that she was enjoying her new head wear.

Christmas eve was upon us and I was excited to hand out my gifts.  The Navarro family loved them!

Christmas day received the same wonderful complements from the Belliveaus also.

Great!!!  Now I can start to bring these lovely hats out to Lucy's, Artstream and WyvernStudio.etsy.com

I have so many ideas for new patterns, designs and flower embellishments.  Also to get my etsy shop running, I need a little encouragement.  I will be uploading new products and to thank the FIRST person that orders one of my handcrafted items I will have a super special gift to be sent along for FREE!!!  Woo hoo!!!
